THE MOST AUTHENTIC WEDDING/PARTY BAND IN EAST ANGLIA AND BEYOND
FAQs
How do we book?
Visit our contact where you can send us a message or give us a call and we can get the process started. Here we can discuss everything about what you want for your event, from song choices to timings and everything else.

How long will you play for and what will you play?
Our most popular service is to provide a live performance consisting of 2x 1 hour sets or 1x 45 minute & 1x 1h15m sets (plus a couple of bonus encore songs, if we can!).
You can completely customise what you would like played if you have specific wants from our song list, or we can build a setlist for you (some people find it more exciting for the songs we play to be a bit of a surprise).
Just let us know what you do and/or don't want and we will tailor our setlists to your exact requirements.

We'd like the band to perform our first dance song/father-daughter dance etc, is this possible?
Yes, our service includes the performing and learning of a first dance/father-daughter dance etc song of your choice. We pride ourselves in recreating the songs that we perform as accurately as possible and, as such, our songs and setlists are chosen to suit that. We will do our best to do the same with your choice of first dance song, but it may be that an alternative version of the song will be performed to best represent the song whilst accommodating the lineup and instruments of the band. We can also perform an additional special song (e.g. first dance & father/daughter dance) for a small fee.

Can we make other song requests for the band to play live?
With regard to individual song choices, please feel free to discuss with us in advance which songs you love and which you aren't so keen on from our song list, and we will do our best to work your favourites into the setlist.
We can't promise to play all of your selections, as our setlists are built with decades of experience to get the right flow and atmosphere for your event, but we will certainly keep your requests in mind when crafting the setlist.
If you have specific requirements for us to play a song (or songs) that aren't on our song list this can definitely be possible but may be subject to an additional fee to cover our time to learn and rehearse your chosen song(s) and must be agreed at least 1 month prior to your event.
Please note that song requests for the band to play live cannot be made during the band's performance.

Will I be able to speak directly to the band before my event?
Yes! The band handle all of our own bookings personally, there is no third party involved unlike many wedding & event bands. So you will be discussing your event directly with the band at all times, leading to a better understanding of the day for everyone involved which allows us to provide the best and most seamless service possible.

How loud will the band be?
As we are a live band with both electric and acoustic instruments (such as a drum kit) for the quality of sound to be its best, the levels have to at least match the volume of a live drum kit with the rest of instruments and vocals mixed in to fit the drums.
We are always mindful to play at an appropriate volume and to especially not be overly loud. If you have specific concerns about this, please mention it to us with your enquiry.
We will need you to inform us if the venue has a sound limiter and your venue will be able to tell you if this is the case. Sound limiters stop music being played above certain volumes (often by cutting off the power to the band) and this can be very influential to the equipment we may bring to your event to work within the sound limit. If the venue has a sound limiter that we have not been made aware of in advance this can lead to the band being unable to perform to our full capabilities. If you are unsure, please get in touch for advice.

What is your DJ service?
After we are set up and soundchecked, we can play background music through our speakers (time and logistics permitting) until it is time for us to perform. This will be a playlist of music played at a reasonably subtle volume to allow guests to chat and mingle.
Inbetween the band's performed sets we will play music at a louder volume to keep the atmosphere going and not to have a lull in the mood. We will also play music after the band finish our live performance at a volume similar to that of the live music to keep guests dancing until the end of the night (time and venue permitting).
Music will be played on pre-compiled playlists through our PA speaker system. Please note that there is no additional personnel required for this service and it is provided by the band themselves.
We will also do our best to play any songs requested during the DJ music portion of the event, but this will be dependent on internet availability at the venue. You can also request songs for this in advance and we will ensure that they are pre-downloaded and played.
If you have a specific playlist (through Spotify, for example) you would like played this can also be arranged. If you send us your playlist(s) in advance (we can't rely on mobile data or WiFi at a venue) then we can take care of it for you.

My relative is a great singer! Can they perform a song with the band?
Generally clients / guests are not permitted to touch or use any equipment at any time, due to the fragility and value of the equipment. It can be possible but must be agreed in advance for an additional fee. Please be aware that we rehearse meticulously to ensure that every song is performed to the best of our abilities, so we cannot guarantee the quality of the song if performing with your relative/guest.
The use of microphones for speeches is usually not a problem, however this must be agreed with us prior to the event so we can ensure the correct equipment and set up.

How long do you need to set up and how much space is required?
Generally, we will take roughly 90 minutes to set up, dependent upon easy access to the stage or performance area, although if it's possible to have a bit more time than that it helps us set everything up perfectly and sounding its best for your big day. We will also need to play a quick soundcheck where we play at a normal performance volume, so please let us know if there are any specific timings that we need to work around for this.
In terms of space, we typically require at least 4m x 2m to accommodate our instruments and set up.

Do you supply all of your own equipment?
Yes, we are completely self-contained, supplying full PA (speaker system), musical instruments and lighting. Please note that we do not supply flooring for a dance floor, which is usually provided by the venue if needed.

Is there anything else we need to supply for the band?
For bookings of over three hours our T&C's also ask for you to provide us with a meal. We are more than happy with joining in with the evening food (Hogroast, BBQ, buffet etc) so it's usually simple to arrange.

What power access do you require on stage?
Generally at least two regular wall sockets is fine. We have had to use just 1 and it is doable but more is preferable and more reliable.

Do you need actual staging?
We can perform on almost any surface as long as it’s flat (it's especially difficult to set up a drum kit on a bumpy surface!) and dry.

What happens if one of your band members is sick – do you have back up musicians?
Yes we do. We have fantastic, professional emergency stand-in members if absolutely necessary. Although we do everything in our power for this not to be needed and it very rarely happens!

How do we pay the deposit?
Payment of the booking deposit is due within 7 calendar days of a contract being issued, and is payable via bank transfer. We will send you an invoice which gives you full instructions on how to pay the deposit when you decide to go ahead and you will receive a receipt of payment received too.

When and how is the remaining balance due?
The remaining balance is due a minimum of 30 calendar days before the day of the event. The funds must be cleared 30 days before the day of the event, provided your event is not a last minute booking. This is also paid by bank transfer. Please see our full terms and conditions for more informantion regarding payment dates.

Can we arrange some sort of payment plan?
If the standard initial deposit and remaining balance payments mentioned above are not suitable for you, please get in touch and we can work out alternative payment schedules depending on your specific needs.

Our venue requires the band to have public liability insurance and PAT tested equipment, do you have those?
Yes, each of our band members hold public liability insurance up to £10 million. We have all electrical equipment PAT tested annually as standard.

How can I make a complaint?
In that unfortunate circumstance, complaints can be made via post or email to the addresses shown in your contract. We shall try and resolve your issue as quickly as possible.
